Assign codes to your business using the “Business activity” field in your profile
1. Select codes to match the products and services you offer as closely as possible. The more specific the better – so where you can, use Class or Commodity level (either 6 or 8 digit codes) rather than high level, more general Family codes (four digit).
For example, if your business is a hotel, choose (90111501 Hotels) rather than (9011 Hotels & lodging & meeting facilities). Buyers will be able to quickly identify the businesses they need and your business profile will stand out by clearly identifying what you can provide.
2. Eliminate any codes that do not fully represent the products or services offered by your business.
For example, if your business provides food to hotels, it should be associated with codes for food, and not for hotels.
3. Keep it simple! Including lots of codes can be confusing or misleading to the buyer. Only include the codes that match what your business realistically does.
